Jack Nugent is a lawyer from Houston, Texas who earned his Bachelor's degree in History and Political Science before attending law school at the University of Houston. Jack Nugent was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and is a proud product of HISD schools. He earned his Bachelor's in History and Political Science from Sewanee: The University of the South, then returned home to help launch 8th Wonder Brewery in East Downtown Houston. Inspired by his personal hero and father, renowned criminal defense attorney Paul Nugent, Jack knew from an early age that he wanted to advocate for everyday people in the courtroom.
He pursued that calling at the University of Houston Law Center, where he was a member of the Moot Court team and competed in three national tournaments as a member of the Mock Trial team. Jack earned the Lex Award in Torts for the highest grade in his class and received the highest grade in his Trial Advocacy class.
Since entering practice, Jack has exclusively represented individuals and their families. He has successfully tried multiple jury trials to verdict and maintains a diverse personal injury docket of cases throughout Texas. Jack has secured large settlements against some of the nation’s most powerful and recognizable companies. Always looking to help, Jack has successfully handled cases against major insurance companies, air lines, police departments, large chain retailers, and trucking companies.
