John Ramsey earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Dallas in 1996 where he graduated cum laude. He graduated from law school at the University of Houston Law Center in 2000, where he was a member of the Order of the Barristers, a mock trial champion, and a brief writer and oral advocate on the National
Moot Court Team.

Mr. Ramsey is the founder of Ramsey Law Group and serves as the firm’s lead trial counsel. He has received three Top Ten Texas Verdicts in 2009, 2010, and 2017. His 2017 verdict was likewise a Top 50 US Verdict and has been included in the Southwest Verdicts Hall of Fame.

Mr. Ramsey is licensed to practice in the State of Texas, the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas, the Fifth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He routinely handles cases in other states and has been admitted pro hac vice to pursue cases in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Tennessee, and Utah.

Mr. Ramsey has been nominated by his peers as a Texas Super Lawyer every year since 2013. He has also been named a Top 40 Under 40 Lawyer and a Top 100 National Lawyer by the National Trial Lawyers Association.

Mr. Ramsey has represented clients in product liability, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death litigation since being licensed in 2000. His nationwide law practice has achieved results that led to recalls of defective and dangerous products and automobile component parts. He has even taken clients to Washington, D.C. to lobby for safer automobile safety standards.

Mr. Ramsey frequently teaches at the University of Houston and at continuing legal education seminars throughout the United States. He has presented and lectured to thousands of lawyers, judges, and legal professionals at various professional events around the country on a wide range of personal-injury-related topics.
